AN Alfred Hitchcock Episode in Real Life: AN Eagle kills a man who destroyed its nest
A strange incident was reported from Mumbai in the Times of India. The link provided will take you to the story.
A worker, Raju, while working on the 14th Floor of Spectra building in Andheri, Mumbai chanced upon the nest of an eagle. He destroyed the nest and broke the eggs even as the eagle flew sullenly overhead. He thought that the eagle will not return. The story/report in the Times of India states that the following morning the eagle returned as the man, Raju, was painting the outer walls of the building. The eagle attaked him so viciously that Raju fell to his death 14 floors below.
The incident brought home to me the enormity of the situation. The eagle, a bird and most of us think of animals and birds as being incapable of rational thought. The eagle remembered the attack, planned its revenge and when the man was vulnerable attacked him with full fury.
I have always loved animals and though I am sorry for the death of the man, I feel that we should learn to treat animals and birds with dignity that is due to them.
